ACLU of the Nation's Capital E-News Update | February 7, 2014
What: Race, Policing, and Criminal Justice Mayoral Forum
Where: McKinley Technology High School
151 T St NE, Washington, DC 20002
When: Thursday, February 27, 2014
6pm-9pm
Please join us at McKinley Technology High School for a mayoral forum, "Race, Policing and Criminal Justice" on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 6:00 pm. The co-sponsors of the event include the American Civil Liberties Union of the Nation’s Capital, the Washington Lawyers’ Committee, the National Lawyers Guild, the Drug Policy Alliance, the DC Branch of the NAACP, the Howard University Chapter of the NAACP, Collective Power, Defending Dissent, the DC Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Bill of Rights Defense Committee and We Act Radio.
All of the mayoral candidates have been invited to this forum and an independent panel or moderator will present the questions. Each candidate will have equal time and opportunity to respond to each question. No organization will show any preference for one candidate or party. All organizations are eager to publicize this event beyond the groups that solely support them. Our goal is to have a diverse audience. A limited number of reserved seats are available and there will also be tickets available at the door. This event is free and open to the public.
