Hi there just saw your 25th Aug topic on the forum and was wandering if I could kindly ask someone for the flight sim 2004 thingy. If it has to do with the CD4 wont start in the cd rom after I have completly installed the 4 cd's ooohhh yeah I think it is the NO-CD CRACK. I have a 205kb crack I downloaded of emule but the ending is rar thingy file and I dont know enough about files to know how to use it. And one last favor if its quite tech... can you tell me how to do it, If not to much of a hassel Thanks alot Cheers ? ...............
If Fs2004 cannot locate cd4 in the cd-rom to start the game, remove any Alcohol or Nero software. This should fix it. The programs paste an
copied image of themselves that interfer with MS security codes.

Due to the recent problems with my rudder going all over the place, I yet again cleared everything out and re-loaded FS2004.Now, with absoloutely no add-ons or updates and with a fresh clean FS9 on my system, the rudder is still out of control on the ...
I have installed FS2004 as complete. I copied over the no-cd fs9.exe (504kb) started it and XP says FS2004 has encounted a problem and needs to close. The problem is with FS9.exe version 9.0.030612 modname user32.dll something about a unhandled exception ...

Hello,I have installed MS Flight Simulator 2004 in a Windows XP environment, everything was okay, but when I try to run the program, I get an error message, saying that it can't find the CD4 (I tried with and without the CD4 in the CD reader). Anyone ...
I haven't used Fs2004 since FSX was released, I now use Prepar3D. I have an old laptop that I refuse to upgrade because of my work files and setup that cannot be cloned. It will NOT run FSX or P3D or X-Plane 10, but will run FS2004 flawlessly. To appease my Flightsim addiction while away from my Desktop I have decided to build up my laptop FS2004 to be as realistic as possible and to use all of the addons I bought for fs2004.
I would like suggestions as to what I need to get FS2004 up to scratch, and make it a world beater. I have VOZ scenery for Australia, FSNavigator and the Aeroworx B200 and the good old LevelD 767 but I've been away from it for too long to be abreast with all of the changes and addons available. What do I need for weather, scenery, mesh, aircraft, flight planning, tools and any other suggestion. My goal is to have maximum possible realism for FS2004.
However as you own other sims I would suggest FS Global Real Weather (FSGRW) as it works splendidly with all sims as does MCE (see my signature) voice control for co-pilot and ATC. For mesh FS Global is probably the easiest world mesh to install/use but plenty of freeware mesh is available.
Rudimentary flight planning is available within FS Navigator. More professional programs include FS Build, Vroute (both free and payware versions) and, the daddy of them all, PFPX. If you are really serious Topcat allows you to accurately calculate take-off and landing distances among other things.
Mesh (lots of freeware 38m FSGenesis mesh in the file libraries that look great in FS9 however the FSGenesis payware 19m meshes were worth the $$ IMHO. Now FSGenesis has been bought out and the new owner is reportedly screwing Justin out of his royalties so let your conscience be your guide)
GEPro (well, ground textures, but I think I'd go with Evo if I had it to do over again or convert FTX Global textures which is a costly PITA if you don't already own it for FSX, if you do own it it's just a PITA)
FlightZone Portland and Providence, Rhode Island (These guys showed airport developers how it's meant to be done. Finding the patches for UT and getting them installed correctly is a right of passage for the FS9er, possible hair-pulling required)
I thank you for your suggestions, there is more than enough to keep me occupied, I hadn't realised that FS2004 was still a platform that is up there with the others as far as available addons. One tends to forget that OOM's were never experienced, frame rates were never considered and performance was always at an optimal when using FS2004.
Forgive me; I've been away from my flight sim way too long. I dusted off my original MS FS, and FSX disks, CH Yoke, Throttle Quad and Rudder pedals, and that went without a hitch. I still have my original disks, so I decided I'd try an install on my new PC. (Dell XPS 8900/Win 10) It all went well until I tried to load the FSX Acceleration Pack. The product key in FAX Acceleration returned an ERROR CODE: 1-80004005. Okay, I solved that after some searching by editing my registry file, got the prompt to enter the code and after two attempts it took!
So, I was able to get the old original FSX up and running. I had a few crashes of FSX, which I suspect was from running dual monitors on a slightly underpowered graphics card that came with the new PC, but it all runs. (I set the monitors to one for now).
So, now my question is: If one is still in love with MS FSX, is STEAM the way to go? I had so many add-on aircraft, traffic, scenery and airport add-ons that made the experience "back in the day" "surreal." I see STEAM has many of these plugins going on, but the price for each one can add the bill up fast.
Being a "re-newbie" to flight sim, I'm stoked that I got everything working again on a brand new Win 10 PC, but I was wondering what the options are, as far as flight sims go? I love getting my hands on custom aircraft.
I also recently came back from a void in flying. First thing I noticed was that a lot of the freeware developers that followed FS in the active growing stage of Microsoft development are now selling through vendors which adds a price overhead. Or they've their own add-on company and market through their own channel. Or sadly, they've died out.
Well I've been around since 2001 and haven't 'missed a beat'. Yet I don't have ANY payware. Some developers have retired (Bill Lyons, etc) but there are guys upgrading some of the 'old stuff' (like Mike Rooks and Bob Chicilo - enter their name in Search to be surprised at what's available- and it's all Free). I still fly FS2004 too. And I never have been able to 'catch up' (even though I play everyday (24/7) as I am retired now) so there is still a LOT of GOOD freeware out there. FltSimCom and Simviation are chuck full of files. All you need is time to download and to upgrade (as needed) and to tweak. Life is good.
I have been running into some issues with my W10 install with some various aircraft now, namely the 747 when I tried to free flight it. I put myself in San Juan on the active just to get going after hitting a few prop aircraft I was familiar with still. It plopped me in the drink, several times! I'm not sure if I can tweak anything to change that. I've seen others who posted that the add-ons can have undesirable effects on the program in W10.
I still have my "old" PC that is running XP still. It was a "hopped up" machine back in the day when I built it. (I do video work as well). I may just make it my designated flyer again. Hmm, decisions.
No, Steam is not the way to go unless you want to take advantage of the really small advances listed above. Steam and Dovetail are working on a new simulator for 64-bit platforms, X-Plane is about to release v11, there's simply no reasons to spend even 5 bucks while the marketplace is in such a state of imminent flux.
The Steam delivery system is not intended to accommodate freeware, only provide instamnt delivery of payware (that goes through Steam). As an outside observer I would say it's a failure as only a handful of aftermarket developers have switched to Steam-based product delivery.
FSX Acceleration remains the platform of choice for most real simmers and as you already own it and have it installed, leave your focus there. Reinstall your old addons selectively, checking for updated installers and versions as you go, install them one at a time and start by creating the `must have` list of the the ones you can't be without - it tends to be a much shorter list with the benefit of distance from the overloaded installation of before.
Addit! Pro gives you the power to fully manage all of your Flight Simulator X addons. Quickly and easily install new addons. Archive addons to Addit! Pro's File Cabinet or recreate them in folders or zip files. Removing addons is just as effortless. Assign new panels and sounds to your fleet of aircraft. Conflicts and configuration problems are identified before they cause any grief.
