Welcome Researchers interested in B Lab's data!

We have an important update about this Google Group: this group will be maintained from now on by the staff members of B Lab. B Lab is in the process of launching a new research initiative in collaboration with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. This group will be used to notify all interested researchers when the research partnership is launched and RFPs are available, forecasted for late 2018. Subsequently, it will become a venue for discussions regarding research, teaching, and student engagement opportunities with and/or about the B Lab movement.

Background: This Google Group was originally created in connection with the CASE i3 B Lab and GIIRS Research project initiated in Fall 2010 and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation to stimulate and support high quality global research on for-profit social entrepreneurship and impact investing funds and their investees through data collected by the non-profit B Lab and the Global Impact Investing Rating System. During this project, CASE i3 maintained this Google Group for researchers working directly with the B Lab and GIIRS data, and for those interested in staying up to date on research efforts related to social ventures and impact investment.

Next steps: Sign up for this group, and await notification when the new Wharton-led RFPs are available. Users interested in the CASE network can make use of the LinkedIn group “CASE Impact Investing Research Group.” The LinkedIn Group will be much more actively managed by The CASE i3 Initiative on Impact Investing, a research center at Duke University.
