Destroyer of Obstacles – Lord Ganesh

Devotees worship him with a great fervour and craze;

For his one glimpse, they starve for nights and days

He is Siddhi Vinayak – the most obedient son of God

He is everyone’s beloved deity - Ganesha, the lovely Lord.

 

However bigger maybe the obstacles, he is unshakeable,

Destroys them with Godly faith and inculcation – unbreakable.

His purity remains intact in thought, deed and word;

He is everyone’s beloved deity - Ganesha, the lovely Lord!

 

He is the bestower of Godly knowledge and fortune,

God directs him and he acts accordingly, attuned.

Godly advice (Shrimat) ensures his life’s every chord,

He is everyone’s beloved deity - Ganesha, the lovely Lord!

 

His power to accommodate symbolized by His big stomach,

His spinning of Godly knowledge (Swastika) brings to all good luck.

Remains disciplined, contented, never violates the Godly code,

He is everyone’s beloved deity - Ganesha, the lovely Lord!

 

Axle in one hand symbolizes the eradication of all evils,

Rope in other shows How Godly bondage destroys vicious devils.

His sweet word, cheerful state – symbol of successful reward,

He is everyone’s beloved deity - Ganesha, the lovely Lord!

 

Being conqueror of Maya, thus, mouse shown to be vehicle;

From God, He learns knowledge of soul, god and world cycle.

Like Lakshmi, bestows intellect and prosperity to devotees’ crowd,

          He is everyone’s beloved deity - Ganesha, the lovely Lord!
