Fellow Classmates…Greetings one and all. I wanted to make you aware that the official invitation to the Bishop Kenny, Class of 1982 30th Reunion was sent out this week the old fashioned way…via U.S. Mail. Sure, we toyed with the idea with doing this electronically, but the only way to capture the most classmates with the least cost, was to go the snail mail route.  Special thanks goes to the talents of our classmate Patrick “Otis my Man” McKinney who was the creative genius behind the design and production of the invitations.  I am sure that the invitations will bring back a few memories…

As we did in 2007, we are asking that your RSVPs and payments be sent directly to Janet Shalley-Olinto, who has kept our service fee-free class bank account intact since then. You will notice that you will receive a cost savings if you submit your payment before July 15.  Obviously, the sooner we receive RSVPs and funds, the better so we can properly plan to have the most successful event possible. Another helpful step would be if you could include the name of your spouse and/or guest who will be attending the reunion with you. Thank you so much Janet for being the collection person and for being married to an honest and reputable banker.

Not only is Janet married to an honest and reputable banker, but she is also an employee at our prestigious alma mater on Kingman Avenue. Janet was able to provide us with the most recent mailing/contact information that Bishop Kenny has on file regarding our class. Some of you may not receive a hard copy invitation because the school does not have your current mailing address. To that point, I have attached an electronic version of the invitation with this email.

We still have 50 plus classmates who are officially “MIA” according to our records. We are doing our best to locate them and appreciate any help you can provide. Feel free to email me with any contact information you may have and I will make sure they are updated for our records and that of Bishop Kenny.

I want to personally encourage as many of you as possible to attend our 30th Class reunion. We had a blast at the 25th, and the enthusiasm around the 30th certainly seems to be at a very high level. As Renee Bateh, the originator of the theme for our 30th Class reunion likes to say, “Let’s Party Like it’s 1982!” Thanks and hope to see many of you in August…Tim Cox
