The Tax Man Cometh

Fellow Classmates…As legendary Coach John Baldwin once muttered in one of his PAD/Economics classes, “Happy Tax day”. This comment immediately preceded him demanding me to write, word for word, the entire U.S. Constitution for coming into his class with the top button of my shirt undone. Yes, those were the days when the government was dominating my life…and so is today. So if you live in Georgia, please pay your state income tax bill today so this peachy state will have the money to send me my long awaited refund. Thank you. More importantly, I felt obliged to respond to those of you that have sent me annoying emails wondering why I have not sent you annoying emails with incessant reminders of our 30th Class Reunion…which will take place, Saturday, August 4th, 2012 at One Ocean (Formerly The Sea Turtle), in beautiful Atlantic Beach, FL. Unfortunately, I have been pre-occupied with important tasks such as adapting to corporate bureaucratic grid-lock, never ending and redundant compliance training, and waiting in long lines to ride “The Hulk” and “The Rockin’ Rocket Roller Coaster” at Universal Park with my G Force resistant 12 year old daughter, Skyler. Yes, Marcia was smart enough NOT to attend this year’s pilgrimage to the happiest place on earth. So my apologies if I have not maintained a higher level of communication with you. Excuses aside, I want everyone to know that we are confirmed at One Ocean for Saturday night, August 4th and our 30th Class reunion celebration. The initial deposit has been made and I can assure you that our best and brightest classmates (not me) are working diligently behind the scenes to make sure that we have a unique and special event. Invitations will be going out via email and most likely, snail mail in the not too distant future. This is where the shakedown will begin to gain your commitment, and more importantly, your dollars to fund our 30th Class reunion. Some of our brighter minds (Once again, not mine) are working on a website where you can RSVP, submit payment via Paypal etc. I promise to do my best to keep you posted with all pertinent details, no matter how many corporate compliance refresher modules I have to complete. The Google Groups Page that we created has not gained the traction that we hoped to capture everyone, so I so I am sending this message out to both email distribution lists to make sure everyone is in the loop. My apologies if you are CC’d multiple times on this message. So as I prepare to leave for 4 days of Peace, Music, and Camping with my jam band buddies at The Spirit of Suwanee Music Park (I will miss you Marcia my love) please stay tuned for more reunion details to come in the near future. I wish everyone all best on this great American day in which we all get to contribute to the greater causes of our national best interest…political rhetoric aside, Happy Tax Day to one and all, and all the best to The Class of 1982….Tim |

Thanks Juan...I mean John E. You actually have a very Presidential sounding name, so let me know if you decide to run for Presiident and I will be your speech ghost writer. For now, big pharma is my gig since as you well know, politics plays such a critial role in what we do and can't do. See you in August! Tim
