भगवान बिरसा मुंडा ने छोटा जीवन जिया पर करोड़ों के लिए प्रेरणा बन गए। उनकी शहादत व्यर्थ न जाए। उनका उलगुलान आज भी जारी है - अशिक्षा के खिलाफ, शोषण के खिलाफ, पर्यावरण की लूट के खिलाफ -- हर्ष मल्होत्रा

नई दिल्ली 9 जून : भगवान बिरसा मुंडा की 126वीं पुण्य तिथि पर आज 9 जून को प्रातः दिल्ली प्रदेश भारतीय जनता पार्टी के जनजाति मोर्चे द्वारा बसेरा पार्क में उनके प्रति पुण्य स्मरण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया।

कार्यक्रम में दिल्ली भाजपा अध्यक्ष श्री हर्ष मल्होत्रा ने भगवान बिरसा मुंडा के स्मृति स्थल पर दिल्ली भाजपा के एस.टी. मोर्चा अध्यक्ष श्री सी.एल. मीणा और अन्य कार्यकर्ताओं की उपस्थिति में  सर्वप्रथम पुष्पांजलि के रूप में श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित किये।

श्री हर्ष मल्होत्रा ने इस अवसर पर कहा कि आज 9 जून 2026, धरती आबा भगवान बिरसा मुंडा जी की 126वीं पुण्यतिथि है।

9 जून 1900 को मात्र 25 वर्ष की आयु में रांची जेल में अंग्रेजों की क्रूरता ने इस महापुरुष को हमसे छीन लिया था। पर भगवान बिरसा मरे नहीं - वे हर आदिवासी के हृदय में, हर जल-जंगल-जमीन की लड़ाई में आज भी जीवित हैं।

भगवान बिरसा मुंडा केवल स्वतंत्रता सेनानी नहीं थे। वे एक क्रांतिकारी संत थे। 1895 में जब अंग्रेजों ने "जमींदारी प्रथा" और "बेगार" से आदिवासियों की जमीन छीननी शुरू की, तब 20 साल की उम्र में भगवान बिरसा मुंडा ने कहा था - "अबुआ दिशोम, अबुआ राज" यानी हमारा देश, हमारा राज।

उन्होंने उलगुलान यानी महाविद्रोह का बिगुल फूंका। तीर-कमान से लैस मुंडा आदिवासियों ने अंग्रेजी बंदूकों को चुनौती दी।

बिरसा ने हमें 3 सबसे बड़े मंत्र दिए:

1. *जल-जंगल-जमीन की रक्षा*: बिरसा ने सिखाया कि जंगल सिर्फ लकड़ी नहीं, आदिवासी की मां है। आज जब पर्यावरण संकट है, बिरसा का संदेश सबसे ज्यादा प्रासंगिक है।

2. *अंधविश्वास से मुक्ति*: उन्होंने "बिरसाइत धर्म" चलाकर शराब, पशुबलि, शोषण का विरोध किया। कहा - "साफ-सुथरा रहो, पढ़ो-लिखो, एक ईश्वर को मानो"।

3. *स्वाभिमान से समझौता नहीं*: अंग्रेजों ने उन्हें जेल में जहर दिया, पर वे झुके नहीं। 25 साल की उम्र में शहादत दी पर सिर नहीं झुकाया।

आज 2026 में जब हम उनकी पुण्यतिथि मना रहे हैं, तो सिर्फ माला पहनाना काफी नहीं। बिरसा पूछेंगे - "मेरे आदिवासी भाई की जमीन बची है क्या? मेरे बच्चे स्कूल जा रहे हैं क्या? मेरे जंगल सुरक्षित हैं क्या?"

आइए आज संकल्प लें कि भगवान बिरसा मुंडा के नाम पर एक पेड़ लगाएं। किसी आदिवासी बच्चे की पढ़ाई का जिम्मा लें। और सबसे जरूरी - अन्याय के सामने चुप न रहें। क्योंकि बिरसा ने कहा था - "डरना मत, लड़ना सीखो"।

भगवान बिरसा मुंडा ने छोटा जीवन जिया पर करोड़ों के लिए प्रेरणा बन गए। उनकी शहादत व्यर्थ न जाए। उनका उलगुलान आज भी जारी है - अशिक्षा के खिलाफ, शोषण के खिलाफ, पर्यावरण की लूट के खिलाफ।

Delhi BJP Pays Floral Tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on His Death Anniversary – June 9, 2026

Bhagwan Birsa Munda lived a short life but became an inspiration for millions. His martyrdom must not go in vain. His Ulgulan continues even today – against illiteracy, exploitation, and environmental destruction — Harsh Malhotra

New Delhi, June 9 : On the 126th death anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Scheduled Tribe (ST) Morcha of the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party organized a commemorative programme at Basera Park this morning to pay tribute to the great tribal freedom fighter and social reformer.

Delhi BJP President Shri Harsh Malhotra, along with Delhi BJP ST Morcha President Shri C.L. Meena and party workers, offered floral tributes at the memorial site of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and paid their respects.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Harsh Malhotra said that June 9, 2026 marks the 126th death anniversary of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

“On June 9, 1900, at the young age of just 25 years, this great son of India was taken away from us due to the cruelty of British rule in Ranchi Jail. However, Birsa Munda did not die. He lives on in the heart of every tribal citizen and in every struggle for the protection of water, forests, and land.”

He said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda was not merely a freedom fighter but a revolutionary saint and social reformer. In 1895, when the British administration began depriving tribal communities of their lands through the exploitative Zamindari system and forced labour practices, the young Birsa Munda raised the slogan, “Abua Dishom, Abua Raj” (Our Land, Our Rule).

He led the historic Ulgulan (The Great Rebellion) and inspired tribal communities to challenge British oppression despite being armed only with traditional weapons such as bows and arrows.

Shri Malhotra stated that Bhagwan Birsa Munda gave the nation three enduring messages:

1. Protection of Water, Forests, and Land:
Birsa Munda taught that forests are not merely a source of timber but are like a mother to tribal communities. At a time when environmental concerns have become a global challenge, his message remains more relevant than ever.

2. Freedom from Superstition:
Through the Birsait faith movement, he opposed alcoholism, animal sacrifice, and social exploitation. He encouraged people to live clean and disciplined lives, pursue education, and believe in one God.

3. Never Compromise on Self-Respect:
Despite imprisonment and severe oppression by the British, Birsa Munda never bowed before injustice. He embraced martyrdom at the age of 25 but never surrendered his dignity or principles.

Shri Malhotra said that while commemorating his death anniversary in 2026, merely garlanding his portrait is not enough. The true tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda lies in ensuring the welfare, education, and empowerment of tribal communities and in protecting their natural resources and rights.

He appealed to the people to take a pledge in the memory of Bhagwan Birsa Munda by planting a tree, supporting the education of a tribal child, and standing firmly against injustice in society.

“Bhagwan Birsa Munda lived a short life but became an inspiration for millions. His martyrdom must not go in vain. His Ulgulan continues even today—against illiteracy, exploitation, and the plunder of the environment,” Shri Malhotra concluded.
