Hi.

Be"h this summer i will be heading out to a suburb of Odessa, Ukraine to spend two weeks giving an experience of a lifetime to Jewish girls from all over Ukraine.

This is a new camp which i have started together with a couple of very dedicated friends. Camp Yeka (campyeka.org) is a boys camp that has been run by the counselors for the past 3 years. Together with my friends we saw that the girls had nowhere to go, and we decided to change that.

2 years ago i lived in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine in an orphanage and saw first hand the loneliness and horrors that these kids go through on a day to day basis. I saw two sisters join the orphanage. Two skinny, beaten and lonely girls slowly put on a few pounds. Gradually some slight color appeared on their drawn faces. They told me of the violence, the fright, and of starving nights lying in bed, too cold to move. Alone.
They, joined the orphanage, though their drug-addicted parents are alive.

There are so many kids like this all over Ukraine and i want to give them a getaway. A getaway from their pain, their hunger and their sorrow.

Camp Yeka Girls B"h received a brocha from the Rebbe, "No Jewish child should be forgotten" and with that we set to work.

Camp YekaGirls will give two and a half weeks this summer to 100 girls of all ages. We endeavor to give love and friendship, to instill a strong Jewish pride and open a world of hope, hope for a better tomorrow.

Please help me raise the necessary funds to make camp happen. We need $40 000 and each staff member has committed to raise $3000.

im so glad to hear from you

your mission is so inspiring, and im sure you will have a lot of success

I will donate to your fund thingy,

but i honestly cant help out that much financially

is there any other way i can help? like packing supplies or something?

Whatever it is, please let me know.

Even if its just running errands for u guys before leave, let me know.

you are a little too young as we only have post sem girls atm but beh in a few years you will defo be part of the staff!
