Dear Green Drinkers!

I thought you might be interested in this fundraiser at the Opposite House on May 11. It's for the Beijing LGBT center, a small local NGO that's doing amazing work to support the local LGBT community. Please feel free to spread the word.

Kind regards
Aura

Date:  Saturday, May 11, 2013
Time:  5:00pm – 8:00pm
Location:  The Opposite House Sunken Garden & Green Room (Building 1, No. 11 Sanlitun Road)
Entry:  150RMB presale (available at the Bookworm, the Hutong, and Beijing LGBT Center); 200RMB on the door. Purchase 5 tickets in advance and receive 5 free raffle tickets at the door.
Entry includes one complimentary drink and two-for-one with first purchased drink. A selection of canapés will be served.
Dress:  Business Casual, Masquerade Theme

Following this year’s International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia theme of “fighting anonymous web homophobia,” the Beijing LGBT Center invites you join us for a masquerade-themed cocktail gala, featuring great drinks, canapes and an enticing list of items for a silent auction and lucky draw raffle.

This event is also a special moment to commemorate five years of service for the Beijing LGBT Center. All proceeds from A Rainbow Affair will support the Beijing LGBT Center’s ongoing projects to end discrimination and misinformation about LGBT mental health, and provide counseling to those most in need.

At the end of the evening, guests will be asked to remove their anonymity by “removing their masks” in a symbolic show of support to eliminate discrimination against the LGBT community.
