Restoring hope for women: The Starfish Project
January 30, 2012

RSVP required. Please email eve...@fyse.org

“Women may hold up half the sky” it was once said, but the sad reality is that trafficking, prostitution and sexual slavery are just a few of the ways they continue to get exploited across the Asia-Pacific region and around the world.

The Starfish Project is seeking to make a difference for the victims of this predatory system through their social enterprise.

Philippa Nelson, Executive Director of The Starfish Project, will share in this presentation how The Starfish Project was launched and their business model as a social enterprise. She will further elaborate on the challenges they had to overcome to not only operate a financially sustainable business, but which also come because of the target audience they aim to benefit.

An event not to miss if you are interest in social entrepreneurship!
