There are local contractors around the country where you go in and get measured. They use an electronic scanner that actually maps your foot so the shoe fits better. Then the internet company CUSTOM MAKES your shoes for you and ships them in one week! The cost from about $150 up to $3,000. WHAT A CONCEPT!
It's people like Nike with the vision to see these trends that create the next big fortunes of the future. This is what I have been saying for years -- it's the "added value" you give to a product, process, or service that makes it work.
Let’s look at food in the marketplace. If you break down the VALUE of food about 3-10% of the VALUE goes back to the people who work hard to grow it. Less than 15% goes to the end retailer who works hard to sell it. The rest is a whopping 75% that goes into processing, marketing and distribution. As you can see for yourself:
