PEEK for SCO
==== === ===

Computronics PEEK software product is now available for SCO
Unix. Multiple System Pricing is available.

Peek is a popular tool for system administrators, for support personnel,
for training, and for other Unix users who are doing remote support.
It allows you to see what is being sent to another user's terminal
or PC. The Poke mode allows you to type on behalf of that other user.
You can use Peek without Poke if you wish, to avoid any alteration to
the monitored user's screens. This can be set up based on the id being
monitored as well as the id of the user doing the "peeking".

Peek has been available on a variety of Unix platforms for several
years, but Computronics has added SCO to the list of supported platforms
due to heavy customer requests. More details follow:

PEEK for Unix Product Features
==== === ==== ======= ========

Administration: Help users without running to their terminal: see
their error messages, their screens, their input!

Problem Solving: When PEEK is started, all data in the current
buffers is displayed; this gives you some past
history, to allow you to diagnose user problems even
after they have occurred, often after they have
disappeared from the monitored user's screen.

Poke Mode: Input into any terminal from another terminal!
Gracefully log out unattended terminals. With Poke
mode, you become another terminal. You can type
anything on behalf of another user, including an
<interrupt>!

Training: Each student's terminal PEEKs on the screen of the
instructor and sees exactly what the instructor
sees!

Productivity: Use PEEK to work with multiple terminals at once and
run programs on each of them. Switch back and forth
between these sessions! Authorized users can PEEK
and Poke on any terminal that is already logged in.

Console Access: Type system console commands from any authorized
user.

Script Access: Set up shell scripts to poke commands on user
terminals or to execute console commands!

Ease of Use: A message command is included to easily send text to
the monitored user while they are typing. [Our
Status Line Message software allows messages to be
sent to the status line of the terminal without
disrupting the screen (extra cost option).]

Supports: Local terminals, dial in users, TCP/IP users,
character based X-Windows users, any logged in user!
(The only exception is graphical X-Windows users.)

Control: Restrict PEEK access by user id or group based on
the monitored user's id/group.

Auditors: Invoke PEEK as a background process into a output
file to get a log of a user's activities!

Support: A one year warranty is included, providing new
releases and telephone support.

Pricing for PEEK for UNIX is based on the number of PEEKable users on a
single system. It is based on the number of users you wish to be able
to PEEK upon (the total number of users that are configured as
PEEKable). International customers please add $100 per order. Pricing
for PEEK for UNIX is listed below:

Number of PEEKable License Price
Users
------------------ -------------

1 to 16 Users $200
17 to 32 Users $500
33 to 64 Users $1,000
65 to 128 Users $1,500
UNLIMITED Users $2,000

Note that special pricing is available for workstations.

Should you decide to increase the number of PEEKable users at a later
date, you would pay the difference between the then current list price
for the tier level at which you purchased and the then current price of
the new tier level for the number of users you wish to monitor.

We will be happy to answer any questions you might have as well as to
send you more detailed information on PEEK, the system administrator's
and programmer's best friend. PEEK for UNIX is available for the IBM
AIX Operating System, HP-UX, Sun (SunOS 4 and Solaris 2), SCO, DEC Ultrix,
Data General DG/UX, MIPS (RISC/os), Motorola SVR4 and SVR4, OSF/1, SGI Irix,
and selected other UNIX systems; call for your system.
