SYSTEMS ENGINEER- DESKTOP SUPPORT
Min. 1-2 years personal computer hardware/software support exp. The
ideal candidate will be able to: support daily usage of personal
computers by TTSG staff, including installation, upgrades, maintenance
and troubleshooting of hardware and software. They will also provide
backup for network administrator for file, application and print
servers and work with staff in related TOG disciplines such as UNIX
Systems, PC/LANs, and Networking while also keeping abreast of
advances in technology product offerings and capabilities and
performing other duties as required by Technical Operations Group
management. Other required skills include the following: strong
desktop operating system and application knowledge, superior
troubleshooting skills, generalist knowledge of client/server
technologies. This person should be highly organized, willing to take
a proactive approach to addressing issues, able to problem solve and
handle multiple tasks along with strong verbal and written skills.
Other pluses include messaging and/or groupware experience (e.g.,
Lotus ccMail or Notes) and knowledge of Microsoft NT. A CS or IS
degree is preferred.
