verification required.<br><br>Reporting to the Chair of Family
and Community Health Sciences, is responsible for providing
professional leadership, management and support for FCHS
educational programs that assist residents in and around Sussex
County to make informed decisions in the area of health promotion
and behavior change in the areas of diet, nutrition, lifestyle,
food safety and/or environmental health, working in conjunction
with other FCHS faculty and staff to assure statewide consistency
in educational delivery and evaluation techniques.
Responsibilities include overseeing the training, orientation and
supervision of staff and volunteers; assigning staff to deliver
information and programmning; attending and actively
participating in departmental, Cooperative Extension and county
functions; and preparing written and verbal reports for local
agencies and the department.<BR><BR>Requirements:<BR><BR>Requires
a bachelor's degree in health education or communication, public
health, environmental studies, nutrition, food sciences or other
related area, and two years of related experience. Also requires
effective computer, public speaking, verbal, written and
interpersonal communication skills; a valid NJ driver's license;
and the ability to travel statewide. Additional credentials such
as a master's degree and certified as a Health Education
Specialist, Registered Dietician or Registered Nurse are
preferred.
