Hi,
as the Inventor of a somewhat Novel device I would like to ask if
anyone out there may be interested in looking my product over.
The device is a Sports Practice Net {now called "The Catcher Net"} that
can be used for Golf, Baseball, Hockey, Tennis, Cricket, Lacrosse,
Soccer, Rugby or Football Practice.

As an Aerospace Engineer I have worked on many projects, one of them
being the "Arrestor Nets" on the decks of Aircraft Carriers. I did some
development on this "theme" and came up with a Multi-Sports Practice Net
that can catch {and hold in place} a Golf Ball traveling at speeds up to
200 mph, or a baseball / hockey puck at speeds of well over 100 mph.

The advantage of the "Catcher Net" over the regular practice nets, is
that you can see every shot you make, still there in the Net, from this
you can judge not only the accuracy of a single "shot" but the
consistancy of many shots {ie, you can fire >50 balls/pucks into the net,
to see how consistant your shot is}.

I made this product to help out local {Nova Scotian} Fishing Net Co's to
diversify from their ever shrinking Markets, to give them at least a 2nd
iron in the fire.

Since we started {small scale} production, a local TV Station {ATV} did a
little News item on the net, showing it catching Golf balls and Hockey
pucks. From that review, their National Affiliate came and reshot the
whole thing for National coverage, that was done Coast to Coast, then
picked up by ABC Networks in the U.S. and went to air via them. Our
National Broadcaster CBC {not wanting to be out done came and shot the
whole thing again}!

I hope that by now you can see the Novelty of the Catcher Net, well after
the CBC did their shoot, we were awarded a National Award for the product
one of only 5 given each year in Canada. Now if that wasn't enough...by
this time CNN had seen some coverage, and they did a review of the
Catcher every hour for 24 hours, and we had World Wide Attention.

This got us orders from Far & Wide, including an order for 200 units to
ICELAND ! {go figure}!
Where are "we" at now...well I'm still an Aero Space Engineer, I know
nothing of Marketing, and the small Fish Net Co' that I formed a License
Agreement with, are doing well from all the above. BUT... I know that we
must form some relationship with Distributors / Agents in the US and
beyond because the "free Ad's" that we had are now several months ago,
and we NEED to find a Marketing outlet.

Serendipity still abides by us though, we recently had a guy fly all the
way from Tokyo {a Jetro, Japanese Trade Delegate guy} and he was SO
IMPRESSED that they "Jetro" offered to show / profile the "Catcher Net"
at an up coming Trade Fair in Osaka {Feb 23-25th} at the expense of the
Japanese Government!

So if you feel that you can assist "us" keep this Venture Rolling, please
give me a call at...

bob.n...@ve1ei.alt.ns.ca
Or call Nordsea {one of the 5 Licensee Co's I have already, from
Joe'berg through England and out to Naniamo B.C.}.

Nordsea can be contacted at... Nor...@fox.nstn.ca
or on their 1-800-565-8998 #

No matter where you are, or at what "level" you feel you can take part,
call us, we are interested in giving "the little guy" {as we are} a break.

de Bob.

A word of ***CAUTION*** about Jetro.

Some background:

An inventor friend of mine sold Jetro a device for "trade show display" on the
understanding that they -- or interested trade show delegates -- would order
more products from his company if there was any interest. He never heard from
Jetro again, or from anyone else in Japan.

My friend followed up by calling Jetro Canada at 151 Bloor St Toronto. They
claimed to have no record of his device. He was told that he would have to
call Japan with an interpreter to find out what happened.

Provided Jetro actually put his device on display, the Osaka Trade show is the
*only* place it has ever been publically displayed.

Now for the interesting bit:

Just last month we saw a low quality version of his device featured on the
Australan produced TV program, Beyond 2000. It was easy to recognize -- same
unique cable and configuration, identical explanation of its operation, same
functionality (but poorer). The segment was shot in *Osaka*, *Japan*.

BTW, Jetro was *very* impressed by my fiend's device too -- AND *very*
interested in the details of any patents he held on it.

Draw your own conclusions.
