DECADMIRE V3.0

HIGHLIGHTS

o Supports ACMSxp on Windows NT, OpenVMS, and Digital UNIX operating
systems

o Allows users to build and test their client/server applications entirely
in a Windows NT environment

o Once developed, code modules can be re-used in a variety of applications

o Users can work individually or in teams to deliver two-tier and
three-tier client/server applications

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DECADMIRE V3.0, the development tool for the ACMS family of products,
allows users to define or modify a default application architecture,
setup and modify project templates, and generate applications based upon
the Visual Basic graphical user interface. The software automatically
generates the complex code needed to allow the user to focus on designing
the application. DECADMIRE V3.0 allows users to build and test their
client/server applications entirely in a Windows-based environment.
DECADMIRE V3.0 also allows users to work individually or in teams to
deliver two-tier and three-tier client/server applications.

DECADMIRE V3.0 provides a series of offerings, from smaller,
full-function test systems to large, high-volume production-class
applications, which allows small applications to be easily scaled to
enterprise systems. DECADMIRE V3.0 maximizes deployment flexibility by
generating code for a number of platform, database, and
transaction-processing options.

DECADMIRE V3.0 creates application solutions for multiple hardware and
software environments. DECADMIRE V3.0 supports ACMSxp on the Windows NT,
OpenVMS, and Digital UNIX operating systems, as well as the Windows 95
operating system. It also supports a number of database products,
including ORACLE, SQL Server, and Access 95 databases. The table below
outlines the languages and database products supported by DECADMIRE V3.0
on Windows NT, OpenVMS, and Digital UNIX.

Operating system Languages Databases

Windows NT Visual Basic (Intel only) ODBC
ACMSxp SQL Server
Microsoft C++ Microsoft Access
MicroFocus COBOL (Intel only)

OpenVMS ACMS Oracle Rdb
ACMSxp
DEC C
COBOL
FORTRAN
Pascal

Digital UNIX ACMSxp (STDL/DCE) Oracle7
DEC C
COBOL

BENEFITS

o Reduces development time -- Automatically generates complex ODBC and
optimized SQL, thereby conserving application and database development
efforts

o Faster database development -- Database repository provides a data
dictionary and contains the relationship between tables, which allows for
quick database development

o Scalability -- Allows users to create large scale, production-class
applications utilizing the easy-to-use Visual Basic environment

o Flexibility -- Maximizes deployment flexibility by generating code for a
number of platform, database, and transaction-processing options

o Investment protection -- Provides investment protection of systems and
trained resources by utilizing today's products and skills
