Maximize Use of Alpha AXP Architecture
MAYNARD, Mass -- December 10, 1992 -- Digital Equipment Corporation
today announced the availability of AXP Design and Integration
Services (DIS). DIS is dedicated to helping both OEMs and end users
quickly and efficiently incorporate Alpha AXP architecture into
their products and business environments.
Using teams of business and technical personnel experienced in
delivering integrated solutions, DIS offers OEMs and end users a
comprehensive portfolio of design services from gate array and board
design to software to complete systems design. DIS will also assist
customers in the prototyping, testing, manufacture, distribution,
and servicing of AXP-based products.
Design and manufacturing services are available to all OEMs who
make or use computer-based hardware or software applications and
plan to incorporate AXP chips and technology into their products.
DIS will help in the design, development, manufacture, and
integration of gate arrays, modules, systems, and software needed
for AXP-based products.
As Garrett Keane, Digital Services Program Manager pointed out,
"OEMs can obtain high quality gate array, board or complete system
designs, prototypes, third-party integration, and end products
without making extensive investments in equipment or personnel.
Manufacturers seeking to outsource projects or complement in-house
design and manufacturing capabilities can minimize risk by using
DIS's outstanding array of resources to quickly bring industry-
leading AXP based products to market."
End users who plan to integrate AXP solutions into their
organizations can also take advantage of Design and Integration
Services. DIS will help plan, design, and implement an AXP system
environment to meet unique business requirements. "Because DIS
