DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION
FACT SHEET

PRODUCT NAME: DECpc MTE System Family

OVERVIEW:

Digital extends its award-winning DECpc family with the introduction
of its most technologically advanced PC series featuring the fastest
buses available, upgradable power, and advanced graphics
capabilities in a proven, ergonomic design. The DECpc MTE family
can be configured as a high-performance desktop, workstation or
low-end server and is also upgradable to Intel's next generation of
OverDrive Processors based on Pentium processor technology. In
addition, this new family complements the DECpc ST and
applicationDEC xP families of fully-upgradable, Pentium-ready,
high-end servers.

The DECpc MTE family is comprised of two 80486, 32-bit EISA models
that feature the highly-acclaimed, ergonomically designed
"micro-tower" packaging of the DECpc MT series. These new
aggressively priced PCs offer the industry's fastest graphics
performance with the choice of three industry-leading video cards
(S3-805, S3-928 or Power9000). Each MTE system has six available
full-sized 8-,16-, or 32-bit EISA slots for option cards. These
additional slots enable users to integrate multiple devices for
special applications such as multimedia and meet the needs of users
who require more expansion capability. Additionally, the MTE
systems support one EISA slot as a VESA VL-Slot to support industry-
standard local-bus options for ultimate speed and performance
enhancements.
