I want to add another fan to my PC, as I am soon to be adding a few more
components. I have multiple spaces for fans (I have a full-tower case), is
there any way in which they should be arranged? If so, please could someone
give me a guide to the best way of laying out your internal fans, to achieve
maximum cooling efficiency, as I've even heard that adding a new fan in the
wrong place can even reduce cooling efficiency! I also have a hard drive
cooler bay, which holds my hard drive, and contains two small fans, will
this contribute much to overall cooling of the case and not just the HDD?
The two free slots in my case for fans measure 80x80mm, which I know is the
general standard. Does that mean that a large fan size, ie. 92x92mm would
not fit, or will the holes still line up, as I'd prefer the larger size (it
moves more cfm of air).
PLEASE reply to my e-mail: rahayden...@yahoo.co.uk (remove NOSPAM to

Thanks extremely for your help!

If placed in the lower front, the fan(s) should suck in cooler air.
If placed in the upper rear, the fan(s) should exhaust hot air.
This assumes your power supply fan exhausts hot air out the rear of
the supply.

No. The 92 mm fans have their mounting holes further apart. If you require
more cooling, either add more fans or use higher CFM fans.
