I am looking for information on computer wholesalers. I am new to the
Consultant/Reseller business and need info on where to
buy parts from. I have seen some great prices on-line but would like to go

directly to the sources for the cheapest price. Anyone with any
information,
please let me know. I have been in contact with Merisel, Ingram Micro,
BSM,
NIMAX, Orbit Trading, and few other small places... I would like to find
out
where to get the best deals to sell to clients.

It sounds like you could use the Computer Resellers Source kit. It is a
database of all the wholesalers in the USA. I can send you a UUENCODED
ascii file which when decoded will be the file INTROKIT.ZIP which gives you a
free look at the database. Besides the database, the kit contains alot of
other useful information for resellers.
If you want to take a look, let me know.

If you are interested in Importing direct from Taiwan, contact Jumbo Computer.
They sell everything for computers at very, very competitive prices. You can
contact Carlo Spema at 10140...@compuserve.com

Tell him I sent you. I can send you their latest "sampler" of prices if you'd
like. From my experience, it only makes sense to buy small items, such as
SIMMS, add-on cards and Motherboards from them. It only makes sense to buy
monitors or cases from them if you're buying container quantities. The heavier
items cost too much for shipping and make the price less attractive.

I am a computer liquidator. 99% of the time I liquidate brand new
items only with warranties of some kind.

You will find that in order to get the best prices, you will use
a combination of both the mainstream distributors such as Merisel
and Ingram Micro, and then to take advantage of those special
deals when they come along, people like us.

I have a weekly email and fax broadcast of the new items that we
receive in a given week. I'd be pleased to add you to it. Just
email me a note with the words LIQUIDATION PRICE LIST in the
body of the message. This coming week, with luck, we are getting
GVC internal modems 2400 baud ($9) and Adaptec 2842VL Vesa Local
Bus SCSI-2 Controller Kits ($249). Brand new of course.

All the best, Sharat.
