Hi

I have been offered the following UNIX system. What is it worth?

Digital Alpha 500 MHz
256 MB RAM
2 GB SCSI harddisk
Uknown graphic card, used for CAD (Pro/E)

What's the value with 768 MB RAM?

Without monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.

The system sounds pretty good, do you have to pay anything? If not, take it.
Usually, systems like the one you mentioned run pretty good under Unix, so
it should run well. If you have to pay around $600 to $700 (US Dollars) that
should be a pretty good value with the RAM you mentioned.

Also, take into consideration the value of the liscense for the Unix flavor
running on it.
