I am a FoxPro developer at a company that makes manufacturing software.
We would like to be able to link data (POs, SOs, Inventory) with various
accounting packages. We are currently having problems with Intuit
Quickbooks. The Import\Export capability that comes with it is too
simplistic for our needs. We have been trying to obtain
information\documentation on their file format but Intuit doesn't seem
too eager to help us in any way. Any suggestions? I have heard of a
product called VBXChange by Spinoza that is supposed to give a ODBC
connection with Quicken. Is there anything similar available for
QuickBooks?

Get the Small business Financial Manager. It takes in all the data and has
a report writer. you can then port the data to FoxPro. That is for the
export side only.

I presume that is all you want from you statement that the built-in
import/export is too limited, as the importing would be limited to the
number of fields it supports and that is why you wish to export to a more
capable package.

However, I am inclined to ask: If you are porting to other packages, why
not use a robust package- say Solomon or Dynamics or other mid range
packages that are extremely flexible and capable?
