I am a Landscape/Construction contractor and have recently purchased
Quickbooks Pro99. I would like to know if there is a way to handle the
following situation.

I need to know the profit on each job we do and will be using job
costing. When we bill, we bill for a flat/even amount, say $5000 for a
job.I generate a invoice for $5000 and give to the customer. I know I
can track the labor on the job thru payroll, materials bought directly
for that job can be coded toward it, but what about things I have in
inventory? Is there a way I can charge that to the job without
generating another invoice reflectly everything I've used?

John,
Adjust Quantity On Hand in the Purchases part of Navigator and charge to
the job. It is easy to do. That also lets the inventory reflect what is
really on hand.
