When will a new Quickbooks version come out?

I have a small business and want to use QuickBooks since I use Quicken
at home. My fiscal year just ended November 30th. Intuit released a new
Quicken version last month but will it be releasing a Quicken 5 soon?
Should I wait or just purchase the Quicken version 4 now? I checked
Intuits homepage but could not find any specific on a new QuickBooks
version.
Any insight would be appreciated!!

Gene,
I do not know when QuickBooks 5.0 will be released but I noticed
a request for beta testers on Intuit's WWW site a couple of months
ago. I do not know when the beta test started, or what its progress
is, but it indicates that an upgrade is due soon.
I am looking forward to seeing some real progress in several
key areas. When we, or one of our clients, get frustrated with
QuickBooks, I often try to gain some relief by adding to my
ever growing QuickBooks Wish List file. After I get a chance
to review the new version, I may post a revised version here
to see if any fellow QB users have anything to add.
I hope that Intuit does such a great job that everything in the
wish list is included!

PS. QuickBooks is one of those quirky programs that
provides great functionality in so many areas yet
leaves you frustrated in others by omission of seemingly
minor features.
Like the lack of "Same as except" edits to the item list,
invoice, purchase orders...
Inability to save multiple preferences of invoice formats...
Inability to reflect backorder status on invoice (and/or
the lack of a Receiver form)...
