<CLARI-ITEM STORY>

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 25 (UPI) -- The Warner Cable Co.'s Columbus
division will expand its service this year to become the first Time
Warner division in the nation to offer cable television, high-speed
computer online service and local telephone service.

Along with the expansion, the company announced Tuesday it will
change its name to Time Warner Communications, effective immediately.

Terry O'Connell, Time Warner's Columbus division president, said the
company will launch central Ohio's first high-speed online computer
service in August. Road Runner will provide customers with Columbus-area
news and information, as well as access to the Internet and other
commercial online services at speeds up to 100 times faster than today's
standard computer modems.

O'Connell also announced that Time Warner Communications will donate
the Road Runner service to every school in its service area, and will
train teachers to use it for classroom instruction.

The Columbus division of Time Warner Communications serves more than
194,000 homes in 38 central Ohio communities.
