Life After Biyani - The Struggle Begins...

After Biyani, the life took me to persue my BE in Electronics from College of Engineering Badnera.
Well, the life was indeed tough post BE for several reasons. First I was not a top performer OR good performer througout my acadamic career like my dear friends here, the result was first class but a number 62 percent doesn't impress much to the world out there, and lastly no scope of job in Vidarbha.

I had gone to Pune for job search. First job was in some small electronic company which I left in just two weeks. The company was in deep trouble and no job prospect as such.
Ok, let me tell you that in my journey of strugglilng days I was always supported by my dear friend Santosh Deorankar who was also with me for jub hunt in Pune. Both of us had tasted the defeat as well as disappointments. It was life full of frustration and no hopes.

Then there was a day arrived in our life. Somehow we could impress a person who owned computer technical institue in Pune in the name of NICE. He took both of us for software development in Foxpro for Hospital. It was two hours of part time job, but it has delighted us like anything. We learnt our lessons of software development, and how to interact with the customer here. But at the same time there was always the fear of getting that assignment over as the requirement for which we were hired was going to finish in next 3 months. Then what happens after 3 months??? A Big Question Mark...
We were registered with some famous recruitment firm and used to have calls, but no success.
And they say you get opportunity once in lifetime and we were also there to grab same.
The person who came in our life like God was Dr Satish Ladhdha, who used to run small software firm called Interactive Software in Pune, both of us got job in that company. Dr. Satish Ladhdha is having some connections in Amravati. It was Dr. Satish Ladhdha who corrected our software writing skills. We learnt meany lessons of life under supervision of Dr. Satish Ladhdha. I would be always grateful to this wonderful person. Dr. Satish Ladhdha put first stepping stone in my career growth.

The next turn in my life was, when I had applied for IT firm KPIT in Pune. First I had to appear for written test which I passed. Then I appeared for my first ever interview from IT company. The interviewer was none other than Mrs. Anuradha Kanitkar, if there are cricket fans out there and they know a cricketer named Hrishikesh Kanitkar, she is Mother of Hrishekesh (who once upon a time contributed in victory of India against Pakistan by hitting 4 in last ball). It was month of December and then I had subsequent round of interviews, and final one by MD of the company Mr. Kishor Patil. I got good news that I am selected, and I was like in heaven. I still remember the emotion of getting my first full time job in IT.

(In between Santosh had to go back to Amravati to start his on Software Development firm and is not very well established. He has succefully developed and implemented Banking software. I am glad that he is proud owner of successfull venture in IT)

The journey started from KPIT, a life of ups and downs, a  roller coster ride which I will never forget. Through KPIT I got an opportunity to go abroad for the very first time and the country was Malaysia, and the city was capital Kaula LUmpur. I was there for 6 months. Then I visied Singapore where I was based out for 1.5 years. In between I got engaged to Manisha on 5th Feb 2007. I got married on 25th November 1997. In March 1998 me and my wife moved to UK for long term assignment with Unilver. We were based out in London for six years, where I worked for Unilver, Walkers PLC, Gallaher Ltd, Oracle, New Zealand Ltd., Polaris investments etc. I became proud father of son on 16th April 1999. His name is Abhijeet, now he is 11 years old. This was happened while we were in London. For some reason when my family started to grow, Manisha and self decided that we are missing culture of India, mere desh kee mitti ki khushbu.. and one fine day we decided to move back to India. I got this opportunity from GE Delhi, and I accpeted the same.  We all moved to India after selling our assets in London. My younger born on 7th January 2004 in Gurgaon. Again for 2 years assignment in US we had to moved back to US. Then there were various faces of life, I moved to Pune joined Infosys. Latest development is I am moved to Bangalore with my family and joined iGATE, working is BI DW Global CoE Head.
So you saw lot of movement around the globe. My kids are now used to it. Abhijeet keeps asking me that, dad how long we are going to be in Bangalore. And my wife says "our life has become like Banjaras". In 13 years of my marriage life, we have change our home 17 times. I can easily write a book called 'How to move for dummies'
So thats the small story, which I had to cut down towards end so that it won't make you yawn...

So my dearEST Ones, if any of you plan to visit to Bangalore then do visit...

Jaate Jaate... for Subhadh and other Sher-o-shayari lovers...

Subhash please share your contacts... I have this bad habit of sending daily sms so I can include you in the list....

Enclosing picture of me and my elder son Abhijeet...

Love you All...

 Dr Warsha,

What a pleasant surprise to hear from you Warsha,  blame the confusion on maiden name/ married name as i could not figure it out earlier.

Yes, so this May month whole of the world celebrated LABOR day, as for you- your job makes you celebrate this every day.

Warsha i am happy to know that you are a O&G consultant and practising well in Nagpur.

Holy cross convent (HCC) girls are always welcome as we too are ex - Alumni of HCC.(though upto 4th standard only) and would be great to know how all our HCC friends are doing .This re-union is going to be a blast and is not only a boys club kind of thing. I let you convince the girls.

Are you in touch with Bhavna Sirohi / Rashmi Kulkarni ..... and for that matter HCC batchmates too what are they upto ??

I do meet Wahab sir quite often.

Dear Warsha,

Got in the mail circuit after a long time.keep posting regularly.

Yeah, as I had earlier mentioned this started with Veena’s initiative and from then ram and myself picked it up.When I started with this google group I didn’t realize that its going to be such a hit.It has really caught on very well and has become a good platform to communicate.Quite a few  guys like Raju kasat, neeraj lathiya, ajay agrawal took efforts collected the names their id’s ,contacts and continuing their efforts to make this a special event.

The endorsement of the success of our efforts will be the maximum participation of our friends.

So friends do make it in large numbers and yes Warsha as we had discussed earlier also, the convent girls are definately welcome.please ask all of them to be there on 23rd.Also tell them that quite a few of us are also HCC alumnis as ashfaque had mentioned,so in a way its going to be a gr8 reunion.

So friends c u on 23rd

Regards

Paresh Raja
