Quality Council of India, an autonomous body under Ministry of Commerce is looking to recruit motivated individuals for a project on collection of data to estimate the demand and supply of teachers. This is a project initiated by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), a statutory  body under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

 

The project involves meeting with concerned officials in the education and associated departments of states to access the required information. Typically, meetings would be initiated with state level secretaries, directors of SCERT, state project directors, officers working with the data and authorities in universities that run teacher training programmes. The month long project will require each intern to travel across 5 to 6 states in a period of 18 to 20 days.

 

Description of Work:

―     Reaching out to officials and establishing contact prior to the visit

―     Creating a route plan for the cluster of states to be visited

―     Visiting government offices and universities in the state capital and 1 or 2 other cities in each state

―     Explaining the data collection formats and ensuring data is provided in the required form

―     Following up with officials

―     Compilation of data

 

Those best suited for this Role:

―     Self-driven individuals who would want a first-hand experience  working with the state machinery, especially in the education sphere

―     Travellers who would love to work on the move

―     Individuals with soft skills that would allow easy communication with officials at all levels of the government hierarchy

―     Those comfortable working on MS Excel

 

Requirements:

―     We’d appreciate it if you had your own laptop

―     Since the project is working on tight deadlines, we look to hire immediately and would appreciate if you could join between 12^th and 15^th of July. The period of employment would be 1 month, extendable by 15 days, depending on the requirement of the project.

 

Please note:

―     This is not a permanent position with Quality Council of India nor is it a promise for any future employment

―     We will pay for all your travel related expenses (lodging, food expenses and reimbursement for phone bills subject to a maximum) and provide a nominal salary of Rs 15,000 in addition to this
