Hello All!

BITS Embryo is organizing an online talk on Machine Learning and Data Mining.The speaker is our Alumnus Mr. Sandeep Sripada. He currently works at Apple Inc. and has done his MS in Computer Science (specialization in AI) from Stanford University after his BE in Computer Science from BITS in 2007.

Abstract:

This talk will introduce the audience to key methods and challenges in data analytics. It would touch upon a few techniques in Machine Learning and Data Mining with examples of real-life applications. Since this is the age of big data, the talk would also describe how Map-Reduce handles large scale data in a distributed fashion.

This is not a very introductory talk to the field. It will benefit us in terms of exposure and an opportunity of follow-up with the speaker.
