We have ML SIG session #2 on Sunday, 16 Sept 9pm. Room will be notified soon.

Agenda:

Discuss application of MCMC.

Please review the paper posted last time and search for some applications that we can discuss. If you come across any interesting application, please do post it on this thread.

Just a summary of whatever we covered last time:

We started the discussion with a brief introduction on Markov Models, then we went on to Markov Chains, with an introductory treatment to Markov chains Monte Carlo, in the process of which we covered Rejection Sampling, Conditions for MCMC convergence, Metropolis Hastings Algorithm and  Simulated Annealing in MCMC context.

If we look for rescheduling ML SIG session for Gurukul nite, there are many clashes.

Morning 10am : OS Extra class

Afternoon  3-5 : para sig

Evening : Gurukul nite 

But, if the current time is good to most of us (reply to confirm), let's continue with it. Otherwise let's postpone it to next week.

Default case : 16th, 8:30 pm 3201
