Moments later, Tanner awakens in his car with Jones, with things seemingly normal; Tanner however finds himself hearing voices in his head regarding an accident. When the pair track down the prison van, Tanner finds himself suddenly disappearing from his car and reappearing in the driver's seat of an ambulance carrying a critically injured patient. To his shock, he learns he is actually inhabiting the body of the ambulance's driver, and is confused by the event. Tanner soon discovers he has an ability that lets him "Shift" into another person's body, taking on their appearance but retaining his own memories and skills. Deciding to use this ability to his advantage, Tanner begins helping people across the city while continuing to investigate Jericho.

The game was in development for around five years.[10] A new game in the series was confirmed to be in production at the 2005 Tokyo Game Show when Sony announced a list of 102 games that would be released on the PlayStation 3.[11] Ubisoft later confirmed a new game in the series after acquiring the series from Atari.[12][13][14][15] A new Driver game was confirmed to be in development in 2010 and was slated for release in Ubisoft's fiscal year ending in March 2011.[16] Ubisoft registered the domain driversanfranciscogame.com as well as driversanfrancisco.com and driversanfran.com in April 2010, suggesting that San Francisco was the setting of the new game in the series.[17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25] Ubisoft officially announced the game, titled Driver: San Francisco on their E3 2010 conference.[26][27] Driver: San Francisco was released in September 2011 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC and for Mac OS X in March 2012. But the biggest news about Driver: San Francisco is the unusual gameplay idea. Hero Tanner starts the game in a terrible accident, after which he can jump in and out of the bodies of any other driver in the city! He either has supernatural powers or is dreaming in a coma, but either way, this allows for some really original gameplay. You will be able to jump out of your body, zoom out, pick another car then jump right into the body of its driver. It sounds crazy, but it looks really cool.

The percent of visible light allowed through your car windows is called VLT: Visible Light Transmission. The percentage of light allowed through your film and glass in California is very specific and different for sedan cars and SUV cars or vans.

The random influx of cars has been puzzling for residents. The cars aren't carting passengers to and fro, according to a Verge report. And when locals have asked the drivers why they're in the neighborhood, they reply that the cars are "programmed" and they're just "doing their job," KPIX reported.

There shouldn't be a reason for AMD to not be able to implement Microsoft's Olive toolset in its own graphics drivers, although it's currently unclear how much these optimizations actually depend on the Tensor performance (remember that AMD doesn't possess an equivalent hardware solution on-board its RX 7000 GPU family). For now, it seems that Nvidia users in particular are poised for even better performance than can be extracted from AMD's GPUs.

Besides Microsoft's Olive integration, the latest GeForce Game Ready v 532.03 drivers also bring support for the NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti, they're Game Ready for Lord of the Rings: Gollum, and they fix some known bugs in Age of Wonders 4 and Bus Simulator 31.

For some residents of San Francisco, the robotic future of driving is just a tap away. Ride-hailing services from GM subsidiary Cruise and Alphabet company Waymo allow them to summon a driverless ride with an app. But some riders have become perhaps too comfortable with the technology.

Do they mean (no, I didn't read the article, I"m not new here!) Win11-certified drivers, or do they mean any drivers at all? Because there's a big difference between "unsupported" (aka no drivers exist at all) and "not fully supported" (using drivers meant for earlier Windows)

But I only use windows to play games and the occasional document scan because the scanner hates linux. I do my day job in Linux and my programming for funzies in Linux.
So I'll stick with Win 10 for now.

i'm more than happy that ms thinks my computer is not up to date, so they abstain from shoving yet another inane iteration of windows i couldn't care less about in front of my nose. stability and not bugging me with periodic fad and bloatware is exactly what i want from an operating system. good job, ms! not planning on upgrading anytime soon!

Walk through San Francisco, and it is hard to miss those driverless cars prowling the city. They're decked out with rooftop cameras and sensors, and now they're facing unexpected resistance from the city's police and fire departments. NPR's Dara Kerr reports.

KERR: Nicholson says five of those incidents happened in just the last week. Some of these cars have run through yellow emergency tape. Others have blocked firehouse driveways. Cops have had to smash the windows just to disable the cars. Sometimes the vehicles refuse to move, so fire trucks have to back up and take another road. Nicholson says in an emergency, time is critical.

KERR: San Francisco is a testing ground for self-driving cars. Most are run by the companies Cruise, which is part of GM, and Waymo, which is owned by Google parent Alphabet. Nearly 500 roll through the city's hilly streets every day. Some cars have safety drivers. Others are completely empty. Many offer rides like a taxi. Both Cruise and Waymo acknowledge the incidents with emergency vehicles but haven't answered directly why their technology is responding this way.

KERR: That's Cruise's Prashanthi Rao Raman speaking at the meeting on Monday. She said driverless cars are safer than human-driven ones when it comes to passenger safety. California's transportation regulator voted this week to let Cruise and Waymo expand their car programs. Now they can pick up passengers like a taxi at all times of the day. Lauren Renaud of San Francisco is opposed to this decision.
