Here are your updates for the coming week.
Young-At-Art Ice Cream Social - Rood Center - 3:30 to 4:30 pm
During March, student art from schools throughout Nevada County is on display at the Rood Center - 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City. Bitney Prep has art on display at the Rood Center. This is a great opportunity to see some amazing student art and to eat some delicious ice cream.
Bitney Prep Charter Council Meeting - Tuesday, March 11, 2025 - 6:00 pm
This Tuesday is the monthly meeting of the Bitney Prep Charter Council. All Charter council meetings are open to the public and members of our community are encouraged to attend. This month the Charter Council will be reviewing our Second Interim Budget and our Charter Renewal Petition.
8th Grade Shadow Day - Friday, March 14, 2025 - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
This Friday we will be welcoming 8th graders who are considering enrollment in our school for next year’s 9th grade class. Recruiting new 9th grade students each year is essential to our school's continued success. Shadow Day is a great opportunity for us to show these prospective students what a great school we have.
11th Grade CAASPP Testing - March 18 through 27, 2025
Each year, 11th grade students throughout California participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress. This is an important measure of our students’ growth and learning during high school. It is one of the important measures for our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and our renewal status as a charter school. 11th graders will be testing in Mathematics and English/Language Arts on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
