Here are your updates for the coming week.
What’s Up Wellness - Student Mental Health Checkups
Bitney Prep partners each year with a Nevada County non-profit organization called What’s Up Wellness to provide 9th-grade students with mental health screenings. What’s Up Wellness does this mental health screening at most of our county's high schools. The screenings help identify students who may be struggling with mental wellness. Screeners from WUW will be at Bitney this Tuesday and Thursday to start the screenings. For students to participate in this process, their parents or guardians must sign a permission form. These forms were a part of registration packets that parents completed at the beginning of the school year. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
Spirit Week and Dance
This Friday our Freshman Class is hosting our Spring Dance. The dance is from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and costs $5.00. This is also Spirit Week at Bitney. There will be dress-up themes each day and spirit activities at lunch. The dress up themes are: Monday - Pajama Day, Tuesday - Aliens, Thursday - Conspiracy Theorists, Friday - Retro. It will be a fun week at Bitney!
Bitney Information Night - Thursday, February 27th at 5:30 pm.
This Thursday we will be hosting our second Information Night. Prospective new Bitney students and their parents are invited to come learn about the amazing program that we offer here at Bitney. If you know any families who have students who might be interested in enrolling at Bitney Prep next year. Please invite them to come to the Information Night.
Annual Hearing and Vision Testing with Nurse Lisa - Friday, February 28, 2025
Nurse Lisa will be on campus doing hearing and vision tests for students this Friday. These tests help to identify students who may be developing problems with their hearing or vision. Thank you, Nurse Lisa!
2025-2026 Bitney Prep School Calendar
Our Charter Council has approved the Bitney Prep Calendar for next year. I am attaching it to this email.
