WASC Accreditation Visit - Monday, April 7 through Wednesday, April 9, 2025
Bitney Prep High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are hosting a WASC Visiting Committee this week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This visit is an important part of the process through which we maintain our school accreditation. Our visiting Committee has reviewed the self-study that we completed in preparation for our visit. They will spend the next three days visiting classrooms and meeting with staff, students, and community members to assess how we are meeting the standards set by WASC and the CDE for our educational program. A great deal of preparation has gone into preparing for our visit and we are looking forward to a positive outcome.
BPHS - Charter Council - April Meeting - Tuesday, April 8, 2024 - 6:00 pm
The monthly meeting of Bitney Prep’s Charter Council is this Tuesday. Charter Council meetings are open to the public and members of our community are welcome to attend. The meeting will be held in our Administration Building and will start at 6:00 pm
Nevada County Board of Education - Public Hearing for Charter Renewals - Wednesday, April 9, 2025 - 3:00 pm
This Wednesday the Nevada County Board of Education is holding a public hearing to solicit comments from the public regarding the renewal of charters for Bitney Prep High School, Twin Ridges Home Study, the Nevada City School of the Arts, and Yuba River Charter School. This hearing will be held at the Nevada County Superintendent of School office 380 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley. Any parents, guardians, students, or other members of our school community are welcome to attend the meeting to support our school in our effort to have our charter renewed.
Spring Break - Monday, April 14 to Monday, April 21. 2025
After this school week Bitney Prep will be on Spring Break. The break will start on Monday, April 14, and end on Monday, April 21, 2025, Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
