Bitney Community Members,

Here are your updates for the coming week.

CAASPP Testing - Tuesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 27, 2025 - Periods 2 and 3

This week our 11th grade students will continue participating in the annual CAASPP State Testing in English and Mathematics.  This week, these students will be taking the Mathematics Assessments on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  These tests are an important measure of individual student learning during high school and in our school program in these subjects.  11th-grade parents, please encourage your students to rest up, come to school on time, and do their best on these assessments.  We will have breakfast food available for the students on these days.  Students who missed testing sessions last week will also begin making up the assessments they missed this week.

Bitney Prep Information Night - Thursday, March 27, 2025 - 5:30 to 6:30 pm

This Thursday is our last Information night for our 2025-2026 Recruitment Drive.  Increasing student enrollment at Bitney Prep by recruiting a full class of 9th-graders for next year is important to the continuing success of our school.  On Friday, March 21 we had a successful 8th Grade Shadow Day with over 20 potential new students visiting our school.  If you know any families who have 8th graders who may be potential Bitney students, please invite them to join us for the Information Night.

Art Club Trip to SFMOMA - Friday, March 28 - All Day

The students in Bitney’s Art Club are getting ready to visit the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco this Friday.  This exciting learning opportunity was planned by the students in the Art Club.

Campus Clean-up and Repair Day - Saturday, March 29, 2025 - 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Please come out and help with some springtime cleaning and repairs on our campus next Saturday.  After quite a bit of winter weather and rain, there is a need to clean up around our school.  We are also getting ready for a very important WASC Accreditation Visit on April 6 through 9th and want our school to look good.  This is an opportunity for students and parents to help out with their time and effort.  Please come help out next Saturday!!!  It would be helpful to bring gardening tools.

Quarter 3 Progress Reports

We will mail home Quarter 3 Progress Reports at the end of this week.  Please review the progress reports with your students.  Contact your child’s teachers if you have any questions about their grades at the halfway mark of the Spring Semester.

As always, please contact us at school if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

--
