Lately i've been rarely hearing a sound effect that distinctly sounds very similar to Michael Jackson's famous "heeeeee heee". Does anyone know what this effect might be? And no it's not the Dreamer neighing sound effects. Might be a weapon stow effect or elite spec, I have no clue. Would love to be able to track down what it actually is i'm supposed to be hearing xD

This unforgettable experience focused on choreography and visual effects pays special attention to the music of the show itself. The songs on Michael Jackson ONE have been reworked but have stayed fairly true to the album versions and have been given a cinematic treatment. The Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour's musical director, Kevin Antunes, added surround sound effects to the multi-track master recordings. Some of the music genuinely sends chills down the spectators' necks as it seems to surround, come from above, or come from behind them.

"Thriller" is a funk song featuring a repeating synthesizer bassline and lyrics and sound effects evoking horror films. It ends with a spoken-word sequence performed by the horror actor Vincent Price. It was produced by Quincy Jones and written by Rod Temperton, who wanted to write a theatrical song to suit Jackson's love of film.

To record the wolf howls, Swedien set up tape recorders up around his Great Dane in a barn overnight, but the dog never howled. Instead, Jackson recorded the howls himself.[14] For the creaking doors, Swedien rented doors designed for sound effects from the Universal Studios Lot and recorded the hinges.[14] Price recorded his part in two takes; Jones, acknowledging that doing a voice-over for a song is difficult, praised Price and described his takes as "fabulous".[7]

So, recently on RetroRGB, I saw mention of Moonwalker getting the MD+ treatment! The game was always great fun for me! I saw it in magazines and anticipated it! I owned it and played the heck out of it and dreamed of replacing the MUSAK (what I called it then) with the real MJ songs. So, I downloaded the pack and patched the rom and... though the experience is great, the songs are instrumental just like in the original game. I get it why they are instrumental, but thought if Sega COULD make a Moonwalker CD game, they likely would have milked their deal with MJ to include his vocals. So I looked at the files and updated it from my own music collection to edit out the intros to more closely match the edits in the instrumental game and the MD rom. Since there are no in-game volume options, I thought the audio was too loud, and after a few tests, settled on about a 3db cut to make the music mix well with the sound effects.

Me again.
I see that Stage does have effects. Dr Mix really is using heaps of Chorus - in fact it almost sounds like a Flanger. I find that if I start with MKII Spark, and then go in to the Chorus settings and crank up the Mix and Depth to max, and then go in to the EQ3 settings and reduce the bass a bit, it's pretty close. To get closer, I'd make it less "plinky" (remove high frequency sound of the tines) here in the EQ, but you might prefer it the way it is, or even want to add more tine sound by increasing the high frequencies. (I don't hear the plinky tine sound much in Dr Mix's sound) In Standard, as you probably know, you have a lot more control over the sound - you can adjust the amount of tine sound separately, without having to resort to the EQ.
