+ is going as whitespace in actual url from bitlyurl

I am sending +91 and phone number in bitly url and when it is opening in browser , + is going as null. i.e %20 instead of %2B

Can you please provide an example of the actual API call you are making? That is, I'd like to see how you are encoding the longUrl parameter and see how that progresses through our system.
