Currently our custom branded domain, q.blackbox.cool, seems to be correctly resolving to bit.ly.  When I try to make the following call, though:

https://api-ssl.bit.ly/v3/shorten?access_token={our static oauth token here}&longUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fquote.blackbox.cool%2F1&domain=q.blackbox.cool

I get 'INVALID_ARG_DOMAIN'.  Any idea what's wrong?  Does the 'less than 15 characters' rule for branded domains means '14 characters or less'?

Hi there,

On digging in to your account, I see that your domain default is set to your Branded Short Domain, q.blackbox.cool. That means that you can omit the domain parameter from the query and it will default to your BSD. Give that a try and see if it works for you as a workaround.

Aside from the above workaround, please write in to us at api -at- bitly.com and we can work together to sort out what's going on with your use of domain. The INVALID_ARG_DOMAIN error does usually mean something is wrong with your domain, but your call as written below looks like it should work.

Regards,
