Download rather than load

How do you get the xml recipe files to download rather than just load
in the browser? I'm sure my files are formatted properly according to
your specs, but when I touch them, they just load in the browser.

Your webserver has to serve the files as application/xml or text/xml mime types. 

If you open the recipe file with the browser it should download then you can click on it from the downloads section to open it with Bites.
