Hi everyone,
What software do you use to copy/move files in linux? Any recommendations?

Thanks
Doreen

Hi Doreen,
If you're looking for a command line solution, rsync is the de facto Swiss Army knife for all things related to file copying, especially if you're copying many files in a digital preservation context.

If you're just copying/moving one or two files occasionally, then cp/mv respectively are the commands you should use.

You can get help with any of these commands and the plethora of options available by running "man rsync", "man cp" or "man mv" on the command line.
