Hi everyone,

I've been having some issues when using HFS explorer. When trying to extract the files from the HFS formatted disk image, I first get a "could not create file error" for all of the logical files and then i get this error message: "the following errors were encountered when extracting files: - got java.lang.reflect.invocationtargetexception when attempting to set java 7 POSIX permissions for (file names)".

HFS is able to create a folder, however no logical files were extracted in that folder (folder is empty) and the folder is locked.

I understand that this could be a permission isssue, I'm just wondering if any of you have a solution for this or if you ever came across this issue before.

Thanks in advance for the help !

Hi Elizabeth,

Are you using HFS Explorer in the BitCurator Environment? If so, can you provide the version number of HFS explorer you're using?

Hello, yes i'm using it on the BitCurator and I'm working with HFSExplorer 2021.10.9.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks,

Hi Elisabeth, I haven't been able to duplicate the error. Are you able to provide the original image you're having issues with?
