Are you excited about the Digital Preservation Coalition’s recent news about plans to launch Python Study Groups in Spring/Summer 2023?
Join the ✨Transition Team✨ to participate in the development of this community-based learning opportunity! We are forming 3 subteams that will meet all together once a month.
Admin Team
Timeline: Jan. 2022 - June 2023
Help the project stay organized and on track! The Admin Team will coordinate the transfer process, including producing the required administrative deliverables and infrastructures.
Content Team
Timeline: Jan. 2022 - April 2023
Contribute to the curriculum! The Content Team will assess and organize the existing learning materials gathered by the participants of the study group pilots and supplement this with new materials to produce a curriculum for the ongoing program.
Comms Team
Timeline: Jan 2023 - May 2023
Help the project maintain transparency and build hype! The Comms Team will work closely with the Content team to develop communication strategies, communication text, website copy, and timelines for launching the program and recruiting community members to join it. If celebrating the work of your peers gives you good vibes, this is a great opportunity to usher them in.
We welcome expressions of interest from anyone who would be willing to contribute to one of the above mentioned teams. You do not necessarily need to be a member of the BitCurator Consortium or the Digital Preservation Coalition as the program will also include some spots open to the public. And no prior experience required! Come learn and build with us.
