Hi all
Both me and Max will be back in the country for the March meetup (Mon 7th) so we will go ahead with something next month. We don’t have a speaker lined up, but we have a few options:
* I could do something about JoinMarket[1] – I’ve still got more to learn about JM, but I’ve tested it, used a few times, and it works. I could do an intro and short demo. (I can do this any month, so we can save indefinitely it if there’s a better option.)
* We could have a discussion on the Great Block Size Debate[2]. This could be a round table, or a park bench style debate (a small number of people volunteer to sit in a small group debating, the rest listen in, until someone wants to take someone’s place), or any other format participants want. We could also hire Gulliver’s Travels style costumes and pretend to be Big Enders and Little Enders, not that I want to make light of this grave situation.
* You! (as in "Your Country Needs…”) could offer a talk! It’s not too late :-) Anything Bitcoin-related will be accepted. Our last talk was BitShares, so it can be quite a tenuous connection. No experience necessary, and it can be any length and quality. Short and simple talks are just as welcome as long and detailed ones. It’s nice to get a variety of speakers.
* You fire the organisers, commandeer MadLab and throw an illegal warehouse party. Cons: it’s on a Monday, Rachel from MadLab will be cross, there will be no pizza. We suggest one of the previous options.
If you have any preference for these (you can vote for any or all that you like the sound of) please reply! Unfortunately I was ill most of last week so I didn’t get to speak to Max about ideas til the weekend, which unfortunately means we’ve lost a week of planning. We’d like to pick something quite soon though.
Thanks!
Ash (+ Max)
