Hey guys,

I've been swamped with my own projects lately, so just wanted to check in and see how the docs effort is going? Any idea when the dev guide might go live?

I think we've done quite well. Things have slowed down a bit in the
last week. (For me, that's because I fell behind on a project for one
of my clients and had to catch up, which I did last night.)

I told Saīvann that I thought May 15th seemed like a reasonable target
for the pull request to the main repo. Here's our release todo list:

https://github.com/saivann/bitcoin.org/issues/57

I think the only biggie on the Mandatory list is getting the final
layout coded and tested. From the Optional list, a basic API guide
(just Bitcoin Core RPCs) is already being written and the other stuff
can probably wait.

Personally, I'd like to do a lot more editing on the document than two
weeks will allow, but since the doc is nowhere near as comprehensive as
it should be, I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunities to make
changes later.

Nice! Just in time for the conference. Would be nice to announce it there, perhaps.

Haha. I didn't even realize that. I guess we better get crackin' on
these final todos then.

+1 for taking advantage of the conference to publicize the doc. Gavin's 'State of Bitcoin' address on the 16th seems a natural place to do it. Not sure whether he has this effort on his radar.

Why don't we ask him? A shoutout for the new dev guide in his talk sounds like a good idea to me :)

Quick note, May 15th was for the final pull request, probably not
merging this on bitcoin.org. But I guess the live preview will be enough
good looking to be promoted regardless.

Just got a confirmation from Gavin, this project will be mentioned as part of his "State of Bitcoin" talk.

So, yet another good reason to continue making this project more awesome. Great work!

Thanks for suggesting the idea,

Saïvann
