I am trying to convert documents from WP6.0 to WP5.1 with little
success. The documents in question contain extensive graphics. WP6.0
gives me "Converting File" messages and then tells me that it has
insufficient memory. I tried converting a WP6.0 file which did not
contain graphics and it worked just fine. What's the problem?

For information, WPINFO reports 550K available RAM memory and 5584K
available expanded memory. When I use the /ws switch to start WP6.0 it
reports 210.22 K conventional memory workspace available (77.0k, 26.0K,
107.22K) (whatever that means) and 4896K Expanded memory available. My
machine is a 486/33 with AMI bios and a SVGA monitor. Seems like this
should be adequate capability for WP6.0 to do its things.

Has anyone else tried this? Results?

WP6.0 is supposed to Save As a fairly comprehensive list of file
formats, including WP5.1. Your graphics problem may come from the
change in file structure between WP5.1 and WP6.0. You asked about
a Presentations 2.0 problem, also, so your best bet may be, alas,
to save the graphics separately in Presentations using Export, Save As
WP5.1 graphics, and put the pictures and text back together in WP5.1.

Have you tried taking your wp.drs file from your presentations directory and
copying it to the wp51 directory? From the best of my memory this was the
solution to eliminate problems as you are describing taking presentation
wpg files into wp51.

Hope this helps, Cletus Stripling
