I don't know about Norton's, but with AfterDark, if the screen saver
kicks in when I have a full DOS screen, I just have to type in the
password and then a carriage return to get back to where I was. It's a
little disconcerting, since the machine beeps for each of the keys I
press. There are no promts or other indication that it's taking your
password input. It isn't obvious that anything is happening until after
you enter the correct passwork and then hit enter. Give it a try and
let me know is yours works the same way.
