Anyone happen to know why I'm getting the following messages:

I do a 'DVT - Display VTOC' and get the following error:

******************************************************************************

*                                                                            *

* Function: DISPLAY  DITPDVTB                             Return code: 16    *

*                                                                            *

*                                                                            *

* DITDVHD1 - DATA TRUNCATION OCCURRED                                        *

*                                                                            *

* .... ....1.... ....2.... ....3.... ....4.... ....5.... ....6.... ....7.... *

*                                                                            *

*                                                                            *

*                                                                            *

*                                                                            *

*                        Press ENTER key to continue                         *

*                                                                            *

******************************************************************************

I press ENTER as indicated and then get this message:

DIT0400I Panel display error   96 for panel DITPDVT

If I just start interactive DITTO i can do a DVT multiple times, but once I try another task, like LDL, and =then go back to DVT I get the above errors.

So far I haven't found any documentation for DITTO.

Billy

Sounds like a screen error to me. A bug?

Billy,

Are you using a standard screen size?

        Are you using $DITTO in an ICCF interactive partition?  ...or are you using the DITT transaction in CICS?

Sincerely,

Dave Clark

Using the DITT transaction. Didn't know there was a $DITTO, but it ends with a 'EXEC RC 0108'.

        OK, I tried your scenario using the DITT transaction in CICS.  I am using DITTO/ESA for VSE  v1.3 and it worked just fine for me.  That is using the screen prompts.  But if I try to enter full commands, then I get truncation and display errors similar to what you describe.

I'm using the screen prompts. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I have two other LPARs that I support, both at the same z/VSE 6.2 level, and they both work with no problems.

Yeah, we are not having issues with 5.2 either.
