Hi list,
i use the tcp/ip stack 1.4 with IBM Apar PQ55591 under a vse 251 Environment.
The ftpbatch is talking a lot of messages to the console and the syslist.
i use the ftpbatch in this way
// EXEC FTPBATCH,PARM='PORT=21,IP=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'
are there any parameters to reduce the talking of the ftpbatch ??

tia

What are the messages?

You can really cause FTPBATCH to stop SYSLST with ",SYSLST=NOEX" in the
execution parm. (Eliminates EXCP).

For SYSLOG, you can use:

",SYSLOG=xxx" where "xxx" is...

ON - all messages
OFF - No messages
IM - only important messages
OIM - Only non-important messages (warning and below)
WA - Only warning and above messages
OWA - Only insignificant messages (warning off)
IN - only information messages
OIN - Only non-informational messages

Under 150, the parameter ",MSGOUTPUT=xxxx" (SYSLOG, SYSLST, NONE, BOTH) can
be used.

Or use REXXTEL (sample program) to do this under REXX and suppress to your
heart's content for older releases.

PORT=21,IP=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,SYSLST=NOEX
