Chartered in 1964, Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is an independent
university based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with an enrollment of more
than 14,000 students; 6,600 of whom are full-time students and 7,400
part-time students who are working adults. Students attend classes on
Nova Southeastern's 225 acre campus and at numerous sites throughout
Florida, in more than 20 other states, and in four international
locations. Instruction is offered using a variety of delivery systems,
including traditional classroom format, telecommunications and
computer-based methods. NSU provides student-centered educational
programs of distinction blending theory and practice in an atmosphere of
creativity and innovation.

The Programs for Higher Education (PHE) provide a field-based doctor of
education (Ed.D.) degree in the following areas of specialization: adult
education; computing and information technology; health care education;
higher education; and vocational, technical, and occupational education.
This field-based approach allows for the integration of study and practice
while the student remains employed. All doctoral students hold an earned
master's degree and work in diverse environments. Sixty PHE graduates are
college presidents and vice-presidents.

Additional information about NSU and PHE can be obtained via the Internet.
