Dear friends!
The III International Alemdar Karamanov piano competition will be held in
Simferopol, November 12-21, 2001

The competition is held in three age divisions:

"A" - ages 10 and under
"B" - ages 11-14
"C" - ages 15-18

For contest participants are offerred two nomination - "Classic" and
"Resonant Internet". Each can take part in any nomination or in both at
once.

WE PROVIDE TWELVE PRIZES FROM $100 TO $400 EACH.

NEW: ANYBODY, NO MATTER DO THEY PARTICIPATE IN A TRADITIONAL ("Classic")
PART OF COMPETITION OR NOT, MAY TRY TO COMPARE THEIR SKILLS IN THE
PERFORMANCE CONTEST WITH THEIR COEVALS AT THE WORLDWIDE WEB COMPUTER NET
"INTERNET" ("Resonant Internet"). IN THAT CASE, YOU HAVE NO NEED TO TRAVEL!
PRIZE FUND FOR THIS COMPETITION NOMINATION - $450.

In the application form for participation it is necessary to indicate a
name, surname, age, country of residing, mail address, telephone, in what
from nomination the participation is supposed. As it is necessary to confirm

DIVISION "A"
(ages 10 and under)
1. An original work of J.-S. Bach (short preludes, inventions, WTC
(Well-Temporated claviere)
2. Classic sonate (sonatine), 1-st part (sonate allegro), (Haydn, Mozart,
Clementi, Culau, Beethoven and others)
3. Masterly work (etude)
4. Work of Alemdar Karamanov
5. Work at contestant's option

The competition for this division will be conducted in I round.

DIVISION "B "
(ages 11-14)

SEMI-FINAL ROUND

1. J.-S. Bach - three-voice invention or Prelude and fugue from WTC
2. Classic sonate (sonate allegro) Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven
3. Two virtuoso etude
4. Work of Alemdar Karamanov

FINAL ROUND

(Duration of the program - no more than 25 minutes)

1. One or several works of composers-romanticists
2. Work of a composer from contestants country

DIVISION "C "
(ages 15-18)

I ROUND

1. J.-S. Bach - Prelude and fugue from WTC
2. Classic sonate (1-st or 2-nd and 3-d parts)
3. Virtuoso work (masterly etude) - Chopin, List, Rachmaninov, Skryabin,
Stravinsky, Debussy
4. Work of Alemdar Karamanov

SEMI - FINAL ROUND

(Duration of the program - no more than 40 minutes)

1. One significant or some works of the small form - Schubert, Schuman,
List, Chopin, Brahms, Mendelhson...
2. Work of a composer of XX century
3. Work of a composer from contestants country

FINAL ROUND
