Hi all I am trying to copy multiple members from one library to another
I am using "copy 'xxxx.xxxx("member")'" 'xxxxx.xx2("member")'"

And I get this meassage that I have to respnd to

ASI1520205 DATA SET 'HCMCD.UPGD.PROCLIB' IS ABOUT TO BE REUSED,
ASI1520206 DEPRESS ENTER TO CONTINUE, OR PA1 TO CANCEL REQUEST,

How can I turn this off or what else can I use besides the word copy?

Thanks

Mark H.

Take a look at the ISPF 'LMCOPY' service.

Thanks Dave. I needed to get it done quickly so I Mickey moused it and
used a queue statement to trigger the copy. But I'm changing it to
lmcopy for the future.

Mark,

Try this -

"ALLOC F(SDSN) DA("PERFCONT.VTFM30.DSN") SHR REUSE"

When you allocate your PDS. I use this in a REXX exec that creates multiple PDS menbers for me. I do not receive your ASI messages. It just runs with CC=0.

ASI1520205 is not a standard IBM message-id. You probably have an ISV package which is
being cautious.
To turn it off, you may have to read the product documentation. Sometimes these packages
check for MSG status:
x = MSG('OFF')
and decide you don't want the warning.

Perhaps PUSHing a blank line into the stack before the copy will satisfy it.

I think there's a typo here. Shouldn't that be:

"ALLOC F(SDSN) DA('PERFCONT.VTFM30.DSN') SHR REUSE"

Note the use of apostrophes surrouding the DSN, rather than quotes.
Unless, of course, I misunderstood and PERFCONT.VTFM30.DSN is a REXX variable containing the DSN and enclosing apostrophes.

Mark,

Try this -

Thanks

Mark H.

Hi James yes I queued a blank line and that got over it but I still got
the messages. Lmcopy seems the way to go.
